International Cyanide Code Management:
It is a voluntary global initiative aimed to promote the use of the highest standards in the cyanide management in gold mining.
The Code was developed in 2000 under the auspices of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and former International Council on Metals and the Environment (ICME). The Steering Committee identified a set of best practices that cover the whole cyanide management life cycle to ensure safe production, transportation, use and disposal.
CPS-Chile is a signatory to this code in the form of consignor.
